The First Parallax Forum, 2017

.PNG organises an annual Forum, hosted by ASP Katowice in Poland. Despite the interruptions of the Covid-19 Pandemic, four forums have taken place. They have provided an opportunity to meet and discuss concerns relating to teaching and making art, exploring the conditions that impact the way we engage students and our publics. The Forums share characteristics of including staff and students from different art schools and countries. They have an interdisciplinary dynamic and have included artists, art therapists, filmmakers, writers, curators, and performers.
2023’s forum, entitled Distributed Narratives focused specifically on the relationship between the film industry and artists' filmmaking, exploring the mechanisms, histories, practices, emerging technologies and theories that the two approaches share.
